From AI research to Computational Design

I've just kicked off a collaboration with a leading architectural studio and a New York university on something quite special.

Here's the scoop:

  • Extract specific data from Revit files

  • Output it in a precise format

  • Automate everything (because who loves repetitive tasks?)

  • Use the data to train LLMs for some cool applications 🤖

…

My role in this project is to provide expertise in automation!

Focusing on extracting 2D elements from Revit plans using a custom coordinate system.

Like doors or windows. But their 2d representation. Not just the 3d…

For example, a door in plan is represented differently than in 3d.

The workflow works smoothly.

And it is done with Rhino Inside and Grasshopper.

I made this quick video to explain how the process of extracting 2d elements works:

PS: The waiting list for my upcoming courses on CD is starting to fill up!

Have a good one.
