- Get everything visible in Revit
Get everything visible in Revit
Get in Rhino all the elements visible in the Revit Active´s View
This one is easy my friend.
You want to get ALL the elements visible in the active view of Revit, using Grasshopper.
Use the workflow below.
💡 What It Does:
Automatically select the active view (if you are in Revit open another view and rerun the script, it will load the data from the current view)
Select the visible objects in a specific view. (you could provide another existing view in the Revit file)
Use that filter to get the elements visible in the active view
You could extract the geometry of those elements as well using Grasshopper
🧠 Remember:
Rhino Inside provides different filters to get the data you want from Revit.
Learn how to use those filters, and your scripts will become more efficient!
Why?
Because you can get to the exact group of elements you need!
Avoiding unnecessary computation.
It´s also important to remember that Rhino and Revit are very different ok??
One is CAD and the other one is BIM. 👍️
PS: I know I said I was going to post every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. But I think is better to go with the flow. 😆
Have a great week Comp Designers!
