Hong Kong

A couple of weeks ago I talked to one of my best friends in Hong Kong.

He is one of the partners of a studio called Enzyme.

We have done some collaborations together in the past and we always like to talk about parametric design and stuff like that.

He was trying to create a Grasshopper script to generate procedural parks:

So let´s say that you feed the script with a boundary curve…

some entry points for pedestrians…

and certain parameters: like tree types, tree density, grid type…

and automatically the script generates an option for a park.

You can use this for master planning for example.

It will be a very fast way to create parks in 3d or 2d automatically.

The conversation was about how to generate some of those parts.

Like the paths for example.

There are many many times to solve a problem like this.

Multiple solutions.

Some are better than others.

So, when I open the “Parametric Club”.

I will show the members how I will approach the creation of a script like this one.

For example.

And with every session, a different example.

It´s about how to solve problems.

It´s about the approach.

Good night
