Parametric AI: Example

Hello Comp Designer!

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about how to use Grasshopper + ChatGpt.

The next natural step is to show you an example.

This is how I use AI to solve parametric problems faster 👇️ 

💡 What It Does:

I recorded my screen while I solved a geometrical problem, using ChatGPT.

I was developing a system for a facade, and I had to find a solution to the following problem:

There is a network of lines.

Sometimes, those lines do not connect by a minimum distance.

I used ChatGPT to solve this problem.

And it worked quite well.

🧠 Why??

This problem is:

1. Specific

2. Mathematical

3. Geometrical

4. Not too complex

So yes.

It can be quite useful if you know what you are looking for.

💁 Tip:

The code did not work straight out of ChatGPT.

You need to understand how programming works.

And how the Rhino API works too!

And I could have solved this problem by myself, yes.

But if you are not very good with algorithms.

Or you don´t feel like thinking too much.

This is a pretty good alternative!
